Set Up Your First XRPL Wallet (Xaman)
Download, create, and secure your self-custody wallet
- 1Download Xaman — Free on iOS & AndroidOpen the App Store or Google Play and search "Xaman". It's free and made specifically for XRPL.
- 2Tap "Create a new account"Xaman generates your wallet address and secret keys automatically using military-grade cryptography.
- 3Write down your Secret Family Seed (seed phrase)You'll see 12–24 words. Write every word in order on paper. This is your only backup — store it somewhere safe and offline.
- 4Confirm your backupXaman will ask you to confirm a few words to make sure you wrote them down correctly.
- 5Your wallet address is createdYou now have an XRPL wallet address starting with "r". Share it to receive XRP — it's your public identifier.
⚠️ Never screenshot your seed phrase. Never share it. No legitimate app, support team, or person will ever ask for it. Anyone who does is a scammer.
✅ Write your seed phrase on paper and store it in two separate secure locations. Consider a fireproof safe or safety deposit box for large amounts.

Fund Your Wallet — Buy & Receive XRP
Get XRP from an exchange and send it to your wallet
- 1Choose an exchange that sells XRPRecommended: Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp, Uphold, or Crypto.com. Create an account and complete identity verification (KYC — required by law).
- 2Add funds to the exchangeLink your bank account or debit card. Deposit enough to buy XRP plus cover any exchange fees.
- 3Buy XRPSearch for "XRP" on the exchange, select Buy, enter your amount. You can buy fractions — you don't need a whole XRP.
- 4Withdraw to your Xaman walletGo to Withdraw/Send → select XRP → enter your Xaman wallet address (starts with "r") → check if a Destination Tag is required → confirm and send.
- 5Wait for arrival (~5 seconds)XRP transfers on XRPL settle in 3–5 seconds. Open Xaman and you'll see the balance appear.
⚠️ Always double-check the wallet address before sending. Crypto transactions cannot be reversed. Send a small test amount first.
✅ XRPL requires a minimum reserve of 10 XRP to activate your wallet. Your first deposit should be at least 15 XRP to have working balance after the reserve.

Set the SRFX Trustline
Enable your wallet to hold SurferX tokens
- 1Make sure you have 12+ XRPEach trustline requires 2 XRP as reserve (not spent — returned if you remove the trustline). You need 10 XRP base reserve + 2 XRP per trustline.
- 2Use the official one-click trustline linkOnly use the link from surferx.io. Never set trustlines from links sent in DMs or emails.
- 3Verify the issuer address exactlyThe SRFX issuer is: rDgBV9WrwJ3WwtRWhkekMhDas3muFeKvoS — confirm this matches before signing.
- 4Sign the transaction in XamanThe link opens Xaman automatically. Review the trustline details — slide to approve. A tiny fee (0.00001 XRP) is charged.
- 5SRFX now appears in your walletOpen Xaman — you'll see SRFX listed as a token. Balance shows 0 until you receive or buy some.
⚠️ Only set trustlines from official SurferX sources. Fake SRFX tokens exist — always verify the issuer address matches exactly.
✅ After setting the trustline, you can buy SRFX on XPMarket, XMagnetic, Sologenic DEX, or First Ledger.

Buy SRFX on the XRPL DEX
Trade XRP for SRFX on a decentralized exchange
- 1Set the SRFX trustline firstYou must have the trustline set (Guide 03) before SRFX can appear in your wallet.
- 2Choose a XRPL DEXOptions: XPMarket, XMagnetic, First Ledger, Sologenic DEX, or Horizon XRPL. All connect to the same underlying XRPL DEX — same prices, same liquidity.
- 3Connect your Xaman wallet to the DEXClick "Connect Wallet" on the DEX site → select Xaman → scan the QR code with your Xaman app → approve sign-in.
- 4Set up the swap: XRP → SRFXSelect XRP as "From" and SRFX as "To". Enter the amount of XRP you want to spend. Review the estimated SRFX you'll receive and the exchange rate.
- 5Confirm in XamanThe DEX sends a signing request to Xaman. Review the transaction details → slide to approve → trade completes in 3–5 seconds.

- 2Connect your Xaman walletClick "Connect" on XRP.cafe → sign in with Xaman. Make sure you have enough XRP (Wave 1 costs 60 XRP + gas).
- 3Select your NFTBrowse available NFTs in the current wave → click to select → review the details, rarity traits, and price.
- 4Complete the purchaseClick "Buy" → confirm the transaction in Xaman → NFT transfers to your wallet in seconds.
- 5View your NFT in XamanOpen Xaman → tap the NFT section → your SurferX Syndicate NFT appears with its artwork and metadata.
✅ All NFT types in the SurferX collection (Syndicate, Holowave, Comics, OD, Randoms) count toward your holder tier. The more you hold, the higher your tier.

- 2Choose your walletSupported wallets: Xaman (recommended), GEM Wallet (browser extension), Crossmark (browser extension), Ledger (hardware), or SOLO Wallet.
- 3Approve the connectionYour wallet app will ask you to confirm the read-only connection. This gives SurferX your wallet address only — we can never move funds.
- 4Your wallet info appears in the navThe Connect button changes to show your wallet address and tier badge. Your balances are visible on the Market page.
✅ The connection is read-only. SurferX can see your wallet address and NFT holdings but cannot initiate any transactions without your approval in your wallet app.

Verify Your NFT Holder Tier

- 1Connect your wallet firstYou must connect your wallet (Guide 06) before verifying. The system needs your wallet address to check the XRPL.
- 2Click "Verify NFT Tier" buttonFound in the market strip at the top of the page, or in the learning path steps. The button opens the verification panel.
- 3The system scans the XRPLIt checks how many SurferX NFTs (all types, all drops) are in your wallet. This takes 2–5 seconds.
- 4Your tier is assigned🌊 Surfvivor (1–4 NFTs) · ⚡ Wave Rider (5–9) · 🔥 Barrel Chaser (10–19) · 👑 Syndicate Elite (20+). Your badge appears in the navigation bar.
- 5Comic page tracker activatesIf you hold any comic page NFTs, the tracker shows which of the 10 Lord of Memes pages you've collected and which are missing.

How to Read a Crypto Chart
Understand price charts, volume, and basic market signals
- 1The price line (or candles)The chart shows price over time. A rising line = price went up. Falling = went down. Candlestick charts show open, high, low, and close price for each period (green = price went up that period, red = went down).
- 2Timeframes (1H, 24H, 7D, 30D)Switching timeframes shows different views. 1H = last hour's price movement. 7D = this week. Always look at multiple timeframes to get the full picture.
- 3Volume barsVolume = how much was traded. High volume during a price move confirms the move is real. Low volume moves can reverse quickly.
- 424H High / LowThe highest and lowest price in the last 24 hours. Helps you see how much the price has swung today.
- 5Market capTotal value of all tokens in circulation (price × supply). Useful for comparing project sizes — not just raw price.

How to Spot & Avoid Crypto Scams
Protect your wallet and tokens from the most common attacks
- 1Never share your seed phrase — everThis is rule #1. No SurferX team member, exchange, wallet app, or legitimate crypto service will ever ask for your seed phrase. Anyone who does is a scammer. Period.
- 2Check URLs carefully before connecting your walletScammers create fake websites that look identical to real ones. Always navigate directly to surferx.io — never click links from DMs, emails, or Telegram messages.
- 3Watch for fake support accountsScammers impersonate support staff in Telegram, Discord, and Twitter. Legitimate SurferX support never DMs you first. If someone contacts you claiming to be from SurferX, it's likely a scam.
- 4Verify token contract addresses before tradingFake tokens copy the name and logo of real ones. Always verify the SRFX issuer address: rDgBV9WrwJ3WwtRWhkekMhDas3muFeKvoS from the official surferx.io website only.
- 5Research before investing — use TrustLockSurferX Hub's TrustLock system verifies projects. For any token you're considering, check: the team, the contract, the liquidity lock status, and the community. If promises seem too good, they are.

- 1Understand what you're usingThe XRPL DEX is built directly into the XRP Ledger — it's been live since 2012, making it the oldest on-chain DEX in existence. No separate smart contract, no extra fees, no company in the middle.
- 2Choose your DEX interfaceMultiple frontends connect to the same XRPL DEX: XPMarket, XMagnetic, Sologenic, First Ledger, Horizon XRPL. They all access the same liquidity — choose based on interface preference.
- 3Set trustlines for any token you want to receiveBefore you can hold any XRPL token, you need a trustline for it (Guide 03). Do this first or your swap will fail.
- 4Place a market order or limit orderMarket order = swap at the current best price instantly. Limit order = set the price you want and wait for someone to match it. For most users, market orders are simpler.
